So you have your new locks but how do you look after them when you leave the salon.
let’s get into the nitty gritty.
Cleanse.
+ Brush hair to remove any tangles and to prevent matting before showering.
+ Use a sulfate free shampoo + conditioner to prolong your hair color and extensions (we suggest R+CO).
+ Gently shampoo all of your natural hair, and in between your rows as well. do not scrub vigorously. we suggest a double shampoo to fully clean the hair.
+ Rinse well. do not leave any product behind.
+ Apply conditioner and use a wet brush and brush the conditioner through your hair and extensions, for even distribution and to seal down the cuticle.
+ Rinse well. do not leave any product behind.
+ We recommend a weekly mask to moisturize + nourish your hair.
+ Absorb soaking wet hair with a micro fiber towel.
Brush and dry.
+ Using a Wet Brush, start from the ends of your hair and work your way up.
+ Gently hold the top of the extensions while you are brushing to avoid excessive pulling on the extensions and your natural hair
+ Apply a heat protectant and leave in moisturiser, we suggest R&Co Mood Swings and Centrepiece.
+ Rough dry your hair 80% of the way (No tugging at the extensions with a round brush or comb. Use only your hands and fingers.)
+ For a faster blow dry, section out each row and rough dry them separately.
Styling.
+ Always use a heat protectant we recommend R&Co Mood Swings.
+ Keep your hot tool temperatures low (180* or below).
+ Limit your heat styling to 2x per week.
Sleep.
+ Brush thoroughly and make sure you're going to bed with dry hair.
+ Do one or two loose braids and secure with a silk scrunchie. A loose low pony is another option.
+ Sleep on a silk pillowcase.
